As soon as our dates for Capri were secured, I immediately contacted Holly and Gianluca to arrange a visit to their charming Villa Garden. They offer a variety of experiences including classes, dinners, workshops, and tastings. Ultimately, we decided on a wine, cheese, and olive oil tasting.
From the moment Holly and Gianluca picked us up from our hotel, their warmth and friendliness put us instantly at ease - it felt as though we were about to spend the afternoon with dear friends. Despite the less-than-perfect weather, we marveled at their picturesque garden villa, complete with a kitchen and dining table nestled amidst the lush greenery.
The experience began with a casual aperitivo before Gianluca took center stage. Far from simply placing local cheeses on a plate, Gianluca curated a gastronomic adventure with each cheese expertly paired with the most delectable flavors, creating a complete meal that was then matched with their exquisite wines.
While Gianluca worked his culinary magic, Holly kept us captivated with tales of the island and conducted an enlightening lesson on proper olive oil tasting. The entire afternoon was undoubtedly the highlight of our Capri trip, and I can't wait for another chance to revisit them.
We couldn't resist taking home an array of their olive oil, wine, and pasta. We've already savored most of it, but knowing we're just a shipment away from enjoying more of their delights is a comfort.
