I’m not sure if you know this about me, but i’m a mom of two who typically enjoys a good book and heads off to bed by 8PM.
After our meal at La Tagliata, we felt the need for a drink to relax. La Tagliata is located quite high up... and I mean REALLY high! So, we decided to walk over to Franco's Bar. They only had one spot available, at the front, with a minimum spend of 40 euros per person. Considering Franco's Bar as an experience rather than just a bar, we accepted. As a mother of two, my typical nights often consist of a good book and an 8 PM bedtime. But on this occasion, our adventure in Positano was only beginning after dinner at La Tagliata, perched high in the hills.
Feeling a desire to unwind, we made our way to Franco's Bar. Their one available spot came with a 40-euro per person minimum, which we accepted, seeing it more as an immersive experience rather than just a drink.
Soon, we were joined by an Irish couple who, when informed of the spending minimum, confidently quipped, "Ahhhhh… We’re Irish, that won’t be a problem!" We instantly clicked, sharing tales of our respective travels. They had been forced to descend from Ravello on foot due to a road accident, with Ray carrying their suitcase over his head.
The night was still young when Franco's Bar closed, prompting us to venture towards Positano's local club, Music on the Rocks. On our way, we met and invited a honeymooning couple from Egypt residing in Dubai, and by the time we arrived, our party had grown to include a couple from Colorado and several others, totaling 14 vibrant souls.
While my husband and I may have been the senior members of the group, we reveled in the camaraderie and pulsating energy of the evening. Each journey I embark on may not promise perfection, but it always guarantees an adventure! And true to form, even on this extraordinary night, we managed to be back in bed by midnight!
Remember, it's always an adventure!
xoxo,
Nellie
